Some 2004 Sobralia pictures - Just for drooling! When we moved to Oregon in March 2005, I had to sell these rascals, really could not get enough of these huge flowers. Just a hint of pink in the lip, otherwise all white --------------------------------- Sobralia Hybrid:
When I got this years ago I was told it's a hybrid, and the flower is slightly darker and slightly fuller than the Voodoo Priestess with a little different pattern of the white in the lip. --------------------------------- Sobralia macrantha Different Plants:
The lower one is Voodoo Priestess, the upper one in the picture is about 18 inches further back in the picture and it is the hybrid. You can see the slightly different white pattern in the lips here. --------------------------------- Sobralia macrantha Close Up:
This full size is 6 to 6 1/2 inches wide and 9 to 9 1/2 inches tall, just this one flower. You can imagine what a plant full of them looks like. --------------------------------- Sobralia macrantha 'Voodoo Priestess:
A nice grouping on one of the plants at the end of June this year. These are about five feet from the ground. Each large growth has a possibility of growing three flowers from each growth. Not all at the same time but in succession so you have flowers for a month or maybe two on these large plants, and all of these are about 6 inches across. --------------------------------- Sobralia Pink Lip:
